Entre Vinyes
Entre Vinyes is a project started in 2014 by María Barrena, who works in Azul y Garanza, and her partner Josep Torti, with the aim of reviving the more than 50-year-old vines owned by Josep's family in the Baix Penedès region, which grow in deep clay soil. As a natural and enjoyable 'by-product' of the project, high-quality and intense cava, pét nat, white and rose wine are created.
The house's production has been certified organic since the beginning, and Xarel-lo, Macabeo, Parellada, Trépat, Garnacha and Muscat vines grow on the 25-hectare orchards. In 5 hectares of gardens, the vines are up to 90-100 years old. The shelters are located only 6 kilometers from the coast at an altitude of 300-350 meters. Wine is cultivated respecting the environment and largely relying on manual processes. The newly built winery also relies on craftsmanship, and among other things, all cavas are recorked purely by hand.
The producer has an organic certificate.
