Champagne Jérémy Bardiau
Bardiau's tiny family farm is located Verpillières sur Ource, in the southernmost part of the southern Côte des Bar region. The farm is only 3.1 hectares in size. However, the family's experience in viticulture has continued for up to five generations. The current owner of the farm is Jérémy Bardiau, who started vinifying the grapes of his family farm in 2015, creating the brand that bears his name. The wines have both HVE and VDC certificates. The idea behind the winery, following Antoine de Saint Exupéry, is that the soil is not inherited from parents, but rather borrowed from children. What makes the nurseries exceptional is the composition of their soil. Up to 75% of the orchards grow on Portland limestone, which is not very common in Champagne.
The farm's annual production is only 10,000 bottles.
