Bread & Butter
Located in Napa Valley, Bread & Butter was started in 2013 by winemaker Linda Trotta's idea to bring to the market a series of classic Californian wines that would be approachably uncomplicated, but at the same time convincing the drinker with their quality. The wines quickly gained national attention, and also Peter Buck, who founded WX Brands in 1999, became interested in wines. After negotiations, Bread & Butter became part of WX Brand's selection in 2017. Cabernet Sauvignon was produced alongside the first published Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in 2018, and the very next year, at the same time as the rosé wine of the series was released, the winery was selected for the list of the 100 best and fastest growing brands.
Bread & Butter's wines belongs to the thought model a stripped-down and clear look, uniformity and ease, and a desire for comfort. The wines are made from Californian grapes according to the archetypes, so that their drinker can trust the description of the corresponding label of the contents of the bottle. The grapes for the wines are collected from different parts of California, so that the wines made from them taste both the freshness of the cooling morning mist of the Pacific Ocean and the ripeness brought by the heat of the sun. The series wines in our selections are classified under the California appellation, but the producer's portfolio also includes wines from smaller sub-regions, such as Napa Valley, Russian River and Sonoma.
