A lovely orange wine from Austria.

Terroir, production method and maturation: The grapes are collected from both sides of Lake Neusiedl. In the west, the soil is shale and limestone, in the east it is calcareous and gravelly. The grapes are harvested by hand and allowed to ferment without added yeasts. The skins of the grapes are left to extract for two weeks, after which the wine is pressed and undergoes natural malolactic fermentation. The wine matures for 18 months in amphorae and large oak vessels on the lees. The wine is bottled unfiltered and only a minimal amount of sulfur dioxide is added.

Usage: As such with friends or as a partner for small salty bites.

Description: The fresh scent has orange peel, gentle toastiness and herbal notes. The dry taste is slightly astringent, refreshingly acidic, and pleasantly stringy.
