GG wine from a plot filled with blue slate, located opposite the winery.

Terroir, production method and maturation: The grapes are harvested from the terraced south-facing part of the Marienburg Grosses Gewächs vineyard. The soil consists of blue slate. The vines are about 75 years old. The wine ferments spontaneously in large 1,000-liter old oak barrels, where it also matures for 10 months. Except for nothing else, a small amount of sulfur dioxide is not added to the wine. Residual sugar 5.8 g/l and acids 5.3 g/l.

Use: For strong fish and shellfish dishes.

Description: The scent is multidimensional, still very youthful and fruity. The dry taste is still somewhat restrained and strictly mineral. Perceptible acidity promises the wine a long life.
