Classic Barolo from a top-rated producer.

Terroir, production method and maturation: The grapes used for the wine come from seven vineyards in the La Morra and Barolo regions. The shelters are Cannubi, Cannubi San Lorenzo, Fossati, Liste, San Pietro delle Viole, Casa Nere and Annunziata. The wine ages spontaneously for 12 days in concrete tanks. Fermentation starts at 22-25°C, rising to 29-30°C at the end of fermentation. The skins of the grapes are left with the wine for another 20-25 days. Malolactic fermentation takes place in tanks, after which the wine first matures in Slavonian 4,500-liter oak barrels for more than 2 years, and then 2 more years in cement tanks.

Use: As a partner for game dishes and autumnal, umami flavors.

Description: Aromatic and earthy scent, with perfume, tar and red fruit typical of the variety. Dry and rich mouthfeel, which is strengthened by velvety mouth-drying tannins and whose long aftertaste is filled with tar and earthy aromas.
