GG wine from the second steepest part in Europe.

Terroir, production method and maturation: The grapes are picked by hand from the Ritsch plot in the Mittelmosel, where the soil is gray slate and quartzite. A characteristic feature of the vineyard is the preservation of freshness, even though the grapes are picked late, because it is the second steepest plot in Europe. The wine ages with wild yeasts in big old oak barrels from Mosel for six months. The wine has not been clarified. Residual sugar 5.6 g/l, acids 7.5 g/l.

Use: With refined fish dishes.

Description: The aromatic scent has plenty of fruitiness, like a ripe peach. The taste is dry and very fruity, and its very noticeable acidity makes the wine long-lasting, although the wine is already enjoyable.

Carl Loewen is one of Germany's best traditional wine estates in Mosel. Its history goes all the way back to 1803, when the house's first barns in Maximiner Klosterlay were bought.
