A tasty blend of Piedmont's traditional red varieties.

Terroir, production method and ripening: The grapes are harvested by hand in the Madonna di Como area from calcareous clay soil. Dolcetto ripens first, followed by Barbera, and finally Nebbiolo. After removing the stems, the grapes are pressed and the juice is allowed to start fermenting at 25-28°C. Each variety is used separately, so that their maceration method and fermentation temperature can be optimized. The wines mature for a few months separately in cement vats and Slavonian oak barrels. The wines are then blended, followed by another 2-3 months of maturation in one Slavonian oak.

Use: For earthy meat dishes.

Description: Richly fruity and deep scent. The medium-bodied taste combines juicy berry fruitiness, fresh acidity and soft tannins.

When a tourist touring the Piedmont wine region approaches the village of Barolo, attention is drawn to the winery built on the top of the hill. It is the only winery whose entire production takes place in the village of Barolo, with the cellars extending many meters underground.
