Langhe Riesling from a cult producer - because it was time for Riesling in Piedmont as well!

Terroir, production method and maturation: The grapes are collected from the Madonna di Como region of Alba, where the soil in the orchards is sandy and the vines are planted at a density of 5,000 vines per hectare. The shelters are located at an altitude of 500 meters above sea level and face east and southeast. After hand harvesting, the grapes are allowed to macerate in the cold for 3 days. The wine ferments spontaneously in cement tanks at 17-18°C for about 20 days. After that, the wine matures on the lees for 6 months in steel tanks.

Use: As a companion to shellfish risotto.

Description: Semi-aromatic scent, with peachiness typical of the grape. The dry and rather straightforward taste is very well-balanced with plenty of acidity, and you can distinguish, among other things, lime from it.

Giacomo Borgogno & Figli

When a tourist touring the Piedmont wine region approaches the village of Barolo, attention is drawn to the winery built on the top of the hill. It is the only winery whose entire production takes place in the village of Barolo, with the cellars extending many meters underground.
