Dark rosé or light red wine - all equally memorable wine!

Terroir, method of production and maturation: The grapes used for the wine are hand-picked and come from a vineyard at an altitude of 550 meters in the northern part of Europe's largest wilderness, Las Bardenas Reales, which is about 40 years old. The soil of the shelter consists of calcareous clay. The wine ages for 12 days in large cement tanks with skins. The wine matures for 6 months in amphorae.

Use: With stewed duck legs and pickled red onions.

Description: The rich aroma is full of ripe red fruitiness. A slightly catchy mouthfeel balances the fruitiness of the wine and the whole is fresh.

Azul y Garanza Bodegas

What on earth leads talented oenologists to make wine in the middle of the desert? In the case of Azul y Garanza, the question is quite relevant, as the winery is located in the middle of Spain's largest desert, Las Bardenas Reales, in the province of Navarra. According to the boundary-breaking winemaking trio, María Barrena, her brother Fernando Barrena and Dani Sánchez, the answer doesn't have to be searched from afar.
