Drinkless January has a long tradition in Finland, and the range and quality of non-alcoholic drink options have improved significantly over the years. Those who spend no more than tap water no longer have to settle for tap water, but there are numerous high-quality options available.
The selection of different non-alcoholic drink options has expanded significantly in recent years, and today consumers have a choice of non-alcoholic beers, ciders, lagers, wines as well as cocktails - mocktails. In principle, you can choose non-alcoholic products, such as various mixers or, for example, tea drinks. As the supply increases, it becomes more difficult for the consumer to find exactly their favorite non-alcoholic drink.
Viinitie's mission Better Wine Culture also applies to a better alcohol-free wine culture, and we have cooperated with alcohol-free Kolonne Null since 2020. It is a Berlin-based house that cooperates with wine producers around Germany's quality wine regions, as well as elsewhere in Europe. The house was started by friends Moritz Zyrewitz and Philipp Rößle's own longing to drink good, high-quality non-alcoholic wine.
Kolonne Null's wines are balanced and have as low a sugar content as possible, making them vinous and great options for the dinner table.
The restaurant's non-alcoholic drinks can also be an alternative to non-alcoholic wine, of which Van Nahmen's organic farm products are a great example. Van Nahmen, which originally started as a producer of apple juices in 1917, today produces various juices, nectars, ciders and tea drinks not only from apples, but also from many other fruits and berries.
Nahmen's quality and appreciation is evidenced by the fact that their products end up on the wine lists of numerous restaurants with one, two or three Michelin stars. Rosé Darjeeling Rhubarb and White Tea Tahiti Vanilla Quince found in Viinitie's selections are excellent alternatives for a non-alcoholic wine package, but we recommend trying these both with breakfasts and brunches, as well as in the preparation of non-alcoholic cocktails.
Adding high-quality non-alcoholic options to the restaurant's wine list and non-alcoholic drink packages increase the added value experienced by customers and help the restaurant stand out positively on the market.
